Job description

About your new job

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and internal SOPs.
  • Conduct warehouse walkthroughs, including pallet and bay checks.
  • Complete scanning, address reports, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Supervise the night shift team and coordinate loading activities.
  • Assign tasks based on workload and priorities.
  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure proper handling and secure loading of goods to prevent damage.
  • Verify loaded goods against shipping documents and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate with warehouse, transportation, and logistics teams to address concerns.
  • Collaborate with other shifts for seamless operations and smooth handovers.
  • Implement corrective actions and improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of loading activities, including quantities and departure times.
  • Prepare daily reports on productivity and notable occurrences.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as stocktaking and reconciliation.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while prioritizing deadlines.
  • Perform any other duties required by the business.

What skill/experience you need

  • Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a warehousing/transportation environment.
  • Experience with HGVs is essential for this role.
