About your new job
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and internal SOPs.
- Conduct warehouse walkthroughs, including pallet and bay checks.
- Complete scanning, address reports, and resolve discrepancies.
- Supervise the night shift team and coordinate loading activities.
- Assign tasks based on workload and priorities.
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure proper handling and secure loading of goods to prevent damage.
- Verify loaded goods against shipping documents and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with warehouse, transportation, and logistics teams to address concerns.
- Collaborate with other shifts for seamless operations and smooth handovers.
- Implement corrective actions and improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of loading activities, including quantities and departure times.
- Prepare daily reports on productivity and notable occurrences.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as stocktaking and reconciliation.
- Delegate tasks effectively while prioritizing deadlines.
- Perform any other duties required by the business.
What skill/experience you need
- Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a warehousing/transportation environment.
- Experience with HGVs is essential for this role.
