They are committed to safety, innovation, and excellence in all that they do, and are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to join their growing team.
About Your New Role
As a Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining a high standard of quality and health & safety compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Supervise all activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage site personnel, subcontractors, and labor forces to maintain productivity and safety.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety legislation, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Quality Control: Monitor quality standards and oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to specifications and project schedules.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, reporting on progress, addressing any issues, and managing client expectations.
- Cost Control: Monitor budgets and manage costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing wastage.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed daily reports on site activity, progress, safety incidents, and workforce attendance.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise on-site, including delays, resource shortages, and technical challenges.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum 7+ years in a site management role within the commercial construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality control.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and suppliers efficiently.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of site safety protocols and experience conducting risk assessments.
- Familiarity with construction management software and technology.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
- CSCS, Safe Pass, or equivalent site safety qualifications required.
- Full clean driving license.
