About You New Role
They are seeking an experienced and motivated Setting Out Engineer to join there well established and experienced team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of site layouts and will be responsible for setting out the works in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately setting out and surveying site boundaries, structures, and utilities based on engineering plans.
- Conducting site surveys and setting out using various instruments, including total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
- Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards, complying with all relevant regulations and specifications.
- Liaising with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
- Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out, including sketches, measurements, and photographs.t.
What Skills Are Needed:
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in setting out on construction sites, with a strong understanding of civil engineering projects
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software
- Strong mathematical and technical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications in site surveying or construction
