About Your New Job as a Senior Technical Writer:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Underwriter to support the Pricing, Underwriting & Customer Analytics Department. In this role, you will help implement underwriting standards aligned with their risk appetite across commercial property and casualty classes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Practice strong stakeholder management skills to build relationships across the organisation
  • Process improvement - use your analysis skillset to make recommendations
  • Develop underwriting standards and question sets to optimize risk selection and customer experience.
  • Set and continuously review risk appetite for commercial property and casualty classes.
  • Grow into a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects
  • Uphold high standard of compliance

 

What Skills You Need as a Senior Underwriter:

  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance market.
  • CIP qualification (essential)
  • Proven success in technical underwriting with a focus on professional standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning capabilities.
  • Experience in teamwork and project delivery.
  • Exceptional relationship management and ability to build long-term connections.
  • Skilled in making decisions on complex technical underwriting scenarios.
