About Your New Job as a Senior Technical Writer:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Underwriter to support the Pricing, Underwriting & Customer Analytics Department. In this role, you will help implement underwriting standards aligned with their risk appetite across commercial property and casualty classes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Practice strong stakeholder management skills to build relationships across the organisation
- Process improvement - use your analysis skillset to make recommendations
- Develop underwriting standards and question sets to optimize risk selection and customer experience.
- Set and continuously review risk appetite for commercial property and casualty classes.
- Grow into a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects
- Uphold high standard of compliance
What Skills You Need as a Senior Underwriter:
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance market.
- CIP qualification (essential)
- Proven success in technical underwriting with a focus on professional standards.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical reasoning capabilities.
- Experience in teamwork and project delivery.
- Exceptional relationship management and ability to build long-term connections.
- Skilled in making decisions on complex technical underwriting scenarios.
