About your new job as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
To serve as a proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor, efficiently representing the employer and supporting the Commercial Manager
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure commercial accuracy and reliability by regularly reviewing the commercial, legal, and risk aspects of projects from start to finish.
- Prepare precise and timely cost data for complex projects during the site acquisition phase, while maintaining a database of historical cost information and understanding key cost drivers.
- Collaborate with the Development Team during pre-planning to review design development and maintain cost control.
- Monitor project budgets and cost codes, ensuring alignment with project appraisals for audit purposes.
- Conduct value engineering and develop designs to a tender-ready stage.
- Perform due diligence on new consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage the Part V agreement process across all sites.
- Administer main contracts and assess the logic behind project programmes.
What skill/experience you need for this Senior Quantity Surveyor job
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with strong communication and organizational skills.
- At least 10+ years of experience in a similar role and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor qualification.
- A positive work attitude and strong team player are essential.
