About Your New Job: Senior Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead technical assessments, optimize designs, and expand our solar PV and storage portfolio. Based in Dublin, Cork or London you will:
- Drive Innovation: Lead the development and standardization of cutting-edge electrical designs for PV and BESS systems.
- Collaborate Globally: Work closely with Project Engineers, managers, and external partners, including utilities, manufacturers, and contractors.
- Technical Excellence: Develop specifications, review designs, and perform due diligence for MV/HV grid connections.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior engineers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality electrical designs.
- Engineering Expertise: Evaluate and implement new technologies while preparing technical documentation to support procurement and project delivery.
What Skills You Need
To succeed as a Senior Electrical Engineer, you should have:
- A BEng in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in renewable energy systems.
- Strong knowledge of PV and BESS components, grid connections, and international electrical standards.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, PowerFactory, and other design software.
- Proven skills in optimizing designs for the lowest LCOE and translating engineering decisions into CAPEX/OPEX assumptions.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
