Receptionist

Location: Parkmore, Galway (this role will be based on site, Monday to Friday)

Type of contract: 21 month contract

Working hours: The working hours can be either, 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm on a Friday, OR 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 3.30pm on a Friday.

About Your New Receptionist Job

In this Reception role, you will maintain and develop relationships with internal employees and Senior Management; you will also be the first line of contact for external visitors to the building. Because this role is visitor/client facing, it is important to always act in a courteous and professional manner.

The daily tasks for this job role will include the following:

  • Act as Receptionist, meeting & greeting employees visiting the site, and external visitors who are visiting site leadership or attending events.
  • Organising visitor badges and coordinating security access cards.
  • Contacting the relevant point of contact when people arrive.
  • Other ad hoc administration activities, to support site leadership team.
  • Support facilities work activities/administration.

 

Key Skills & Experience needed for this Job

  • Level 6 qualification with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a busy office or reception environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software in particular; Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Candidates need to be a team player who can work effectively and pro-actively on activities both individually and with others.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities – a good multi-tasker.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Good initiative and a team player.
  • Sets high standards and models ethical behaviour.
