About your new job as a Quality Engineer II: Be part of a high-performing team managing and supporting a global supply base while working with suppliers across various commodities. This role focuses on ensuring quality, compliance, and service excellence, engaging in supplier-related projects within the global supplier quality management network, and promoting continuous improvement, with some travel involved.
Your duties will include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and Business Units, to manage all aspects of supplier management and ensure components meet established requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement across the supply chain by enhancing quality systems, service capabilities, and total cost of ownership, while driving material value improvement projects.
- Address material quality issues by working closely with Quality, Procurement, and Business Units to resolve problems, implement corrective actions, and ensure supplier compliance.
- Provide technical expertise in commodity management, assess supplier process change requests, and contribute to the development and improvement of supplier management policies and procedures.
- Build effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, develop new supply sources in collaboration with the Procurement Team, and promote the Quality System within the supply base.
What skill/experience you need
- Possess a Level 8 degree in an engineering or science-related field.
- Over 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with direct expertise in Quality Assurance, ideally in a GMP-regulated setting.
- Previous experience in the medical device industry is highly desirable.
