Sigmar Recruitment are currently working alongside one of our respected clients who are one of the leading construction firms in the Galway area who are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and fit out projects. Trading for over 13 years the company are in the process of expanding their operation and are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to join the team in Galway on one of their Athenry projects.

 

About Your New Job
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects while ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will coordinate with senior management alongside clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure that all project requirements are met.

As a Project Manager you will be required to undertake the following tasks:

  • Lead and manage construction projects from planning all the way to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and clients.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring high standards of work and adherence to contracts.

 

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
