They specialize in the delivery of complex, large-scale commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments in Dublin and across Ireland. Due to ongoing expansion and an exciting pipeline of projects, They are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team and manage key city centre developments.

About Your New Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish. You will manage the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with senior management, clients, and consultants to ensure all aspects of the project meet the required objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of city centre construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout all stages.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers, while ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Manage site teams, including site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and laborers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and legal standards, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and clients.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, utilities, and third-party stakeholders to ensure that all necessary permits, inspections, and approvals are in place.
  • Control project costs, including managing change orders, variations, and unforeseen challenges, ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Liaise with the design team, ensuring that any design changes or issues are addressed promptly.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to junior project team members, ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment.

What Skills You Need

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on city centre projects or high-rise developments.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and project delivery.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle competing priorities.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
  • Experience with building regulations, planning permissions, and project coordination in a city centre context.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across Dublin.
  • Professional membership of a relevant body (e.g., RIAI, CIOB, Engineers Ireland) is a plus.
