About Your New Job
As the Project Engineer, you will take the helm in delivering complex marine and subsea cable projects. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading engineering and project management for marine and nearshore subsea cable initiatives.
- Providing technical expertise to develop innovative solutions while maintaining industry compliance.
- Overseeing engineering designs, project documentation, subcontractor procurement, and team coordination to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Managing resources effectively with a strong focus on safety, risk management, and quality assurance.
This dynamic role offers a mix of office-based work and opportunities for short-term offshore assignments across Ireland and Europe.
What Skills You Need to Become a Project Engineer
- A degree in Engineering (Civil or Marine disciplines preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in the marine or offshore industry.
- Proven skills in project management, team leadership, and commercial awareness for tenders and proposals.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and CAD drafting.
