About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our clients team in Cork. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, optimizing production processes, driving continuous improvement, and leading a high-performing team to ensure operational excellence and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality, and timelines are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize workflows.
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with senior management to align operational performance with overall business objectives.
- Analyze key operational data and metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving actionable results.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across the facility.
- Manage budgets, resources, and capacity planning to meet customer and business demands.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a senior operations, manufacturing, or production management role, ideally within a process, fluid handling, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading teams, managing change, and delivering operational improvements.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process optimization methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively.
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day operations.
