About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our clients team in Cork. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, optimizing production processes, driving continuous improvement, and leading a high-performing team to ensure operational excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality, and timelines are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize workflows.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to align operational performance with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze key operational data and metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving actionable results.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across the facility.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and capacity planning to meet customer and business demands.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a senior operations, manufacturing, or production management role, ideally within a process, fluid handling, or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams, managing change, and delivering operational improvements.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process optimization methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively.
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day operations.
