About Your New Job
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and production equipment in a hygienic manufacturing environment. You’ll be:
- Designing piping systems and machinery to comply with hygienic standards like ASME BPE.
- Developing 3D models, assembly drawings, and P&ID diagrams using SolidWorks.
- Managing procurement processes including collecting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating with manufacturers.
- Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to enhance production processes and ensure system efficiency.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for machinery and mechanical systems.
What Skills You Need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing, ideally in the food & beverage or dairy industry.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling (AutoCAD LT a plus).
- Knowledge of hygienic design standards (e.g. ASME BPE).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
