We are currently working with a medium sized mechanical and electrical contractor based in the Dublin area. The company have a turnover in excess of €40 million and take pride in developing their staff while providing high class engineering solutions to their clients. The company have an impressive portfolio of clients in the healthcare, commercial, data centre and industrial sectors. They are looking to add a mechanical chargehand to their project team in Dublin.
About Your New Job
As a Mechanical Chargehand, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, ensuring quality control, and managing the day-to-day operations on-site. You will work closely with supervisors, site managers, engineers, and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical works. Some of your duties will include:
- Supervise Mechanical Works: Oversee installation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems as per project specs.
- Team Leadership: Manage site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high performance and safety.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets standards through regular inspections and issue resolution.
What Skills & Requirements You Need
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical construction
- Qualifications: Trade qualification
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building regulations, and construction standards.
