About your new job: The Manufacturing Engineer will deliver advanced technical and engineering support to a specific project or function. This engineer will possess the necessary engineering expertise and systems training to effectively support a manufacturing area or project.
Your duties will include:
- Oversee major engineering projects through the PMO while providing operational support for manufacturing activities, specifically focusing on CNC and thermo-coating packaging.
- Offer technical leadership to the engineering team, taking responsibility for plant metrics from an engineering standpoint.
- Assist in Process Development and Advanced Operations by facilitating technology development and its application in CNC machining and thermo-coating processes.
- Lead the adoption of lean manufacturing practices within CNC and thermo-coating packaging processes.
- Play a key role in building a world-class manufacturing team proficient in process improvement and resolving manufacturing challenges using Six Sigma methodologies.
- Aid in process development and cost reduction initiatives within CNC machining and thermo-coating operations.
What skill/experience you need to be a Manufacturing Engineer
- Level 8 Honours Degree in an engineering discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA.
- Experience with CNC machining and thermo-coating packaging processes; experience in medical devices is preferred.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, emphasizing process improvement and multitasking.
