About Your New Role
The role is for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the established engineering & maintenance team in their Dublin office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure suppliers and service providers meet contractual obligations effectively and safely, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in the preparation and management of facility-related operational budgets.
- Be available for after-hours emergency facility contact and escalation management.
- Act as the go-to person for facilities, project, fit-out, and crisis management activities, ensuring quick problem resolution and identifying potential roadblocks.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and service providers to align with client culture and deliver high-quality service.
- Address minor technical repairs and be the first point of contact for all building-related issues, including after-hours escalations.
- Monitor PPM schedules, warranties, O&M documents, and asset lifecycle registers.
- Ensure health and safety standards during events, including contractor supervision and reviewing health and safety documentation.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager to prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
- Manage operational spend and budgets, processing purchase orders (POs), invoices, and cost variations in line with company policies.
- Perform any other tasks required by the Facilities Division Manager.
What Skills You Need
- Experience in Facilities Management, Property Management, Construction Management, or similar fields is essential
- Proven experience managing multiple service providers in hard services disciplines.
- An engineering degree or trade qualifications with prior experience in facilities, maintenance, property, or construction management.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours when required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
