My client based in West Dublin within the tech space have a requirement for an International Financial Controller. To be suitable you will be qualified with at least 8 years pqe, 4 or more at finance manager or financial controller level. You will also have exposure to the management of finance or multiple European roles. If you have worked within a start up where you have grown finance this would be an advantage

About Your New Job
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to US GAAP, ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts and compliance with local EU regulations.
- Record and analyze day-to-day financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage VAT and corporate tax filings in accordance with local EU tax laws, including calculations, reporting, and communication with tax authorities.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and collection of outstanding payments.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with the US accounting team to ensure seamless integration of European financial data, including intercompany transactions and reporting.
- Analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Stay updated on relevant EU accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Own the ledgers and finance system - Daily maintenance of the Finance system, Acumatica, covering all daily processes and controls.
- Oversee the purchase ledger functions, supported by a transactional Assistant.
- Operate the sales ledger functions, associated systems and bank reconciliations.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary.
- Regular bank reconciliations and associated transactions.
What skills you need
- Qualified Accountant with at least 4 years at Manager/ Controller level
- Management of multiple European entities – strong International finance experience
- Coming from a start up environment where you build finance would be an advantage
- Strong US GAAP/ IFRS
