We are currently recruiting for a commercial project based in the Dublin City Centre. The company take pride in developing their staff while providing high class engineering solutions to their clients. The company have an impressive portfolio in the Commercial and Industrial sectors. They are looking to take on a number of Installation electricians at this current time.
About Your New Job
As an electrician you will be tasked with the following:
- Install Electrical Systems: Wire electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, ensuring code compliance.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and follow electrical blueprints to install outlets, lighting, and power distribution.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Test and inspect systems, resolving issues before project completion.
- Collaboration: Work with contractors and teams to ensure timely, efficient installations.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, using PPE and maintaining a safe site.
- Equipment Maintenance: Install and maintain temporary electrical equipment (e.g., lighting, generators) on-site.
What Skills You Need
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:
- Electrical Installation & Maintenance: Experienced in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, compliant with Irish standards (e.g., IS 10101).
- Blueprint Interpretation: Skilled in reading electrical blueprints and diagrams to install wiring, circuits, and control systems.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Knowledge of Irish Health and Safety regulations (e.g., Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005), ensuring safe work practices
- Testing & Fault Diagnosis: Proficient in testing systems, diagnosing faults, and using testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers).
- Electrical Codes & Standards: Familiar with Irish electrical codes (e.g., IEE Wiring Regulations) and industry standards to ensure legal compliance.
- Experience installing containment.
- QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Electrical or similar
- Safe Pass & Manual Handling
What’s on Offer
Successful applicants will be given the chance to work on an exciting project within the Dublin City Centre. This role is from Monday – Friday 40 hours per week. After 40 hours, you will be paid an overtime rate/ double-time. Upon completion of this contract, you may be giving the option to be made permanent.
