An Irish Leading Company that manufactures high-quality timber products based in Fermoy, Cork are currently looking for Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
About your new job
- Conducting regular site inspections & reviews of policies & procedures.
- Working with all the teams on site & adapting a culture of engagement, teamwork & continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation.
- Increase Safety, Heath, Environmental and Quality awareness amongst all teams
- Make sure that all activities have robust and up-to-date risk assessments supported by suitable training where applicable.
- Assess workplace hazards considering how risks could be eliminated or reduced and formulate preventative measures together with management.
- Guarantee an effective Health & Safety on-boarding program for all who enter and work on the site, employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure risk profile of the site is documented through suitable risk assessments and pro-actively create/implement action plans.
What skill/experience you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety/NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience in a continuous improvement or manufacturing environment working in Health & Safety.
- Knowledge & experience with different ISO Standards is a desirable.
- A full clean Irish Driver’s Licence – Class B.
- Strong knowledge of the up-to-date rules & regulations of the Health & Safety procedures.
- Proficient written & verbal communication skills.
- Great IT Skills – Microsoft Office.
