Health and Safety Advisor

Role Overview: The successful candidate will support the delivery of projects across the business, focusing on health and safety. Key qualities include a strong commitment to health and safety, compliance, reporting, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and setting out.
  • Provide health and safety training (e.g., manual handling, toolbox talks, safety inductions).
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits.
  • Promote accident prevention and environmental protection.
  • Assist in preparing incident reports and provide statistical data to management.
  • Implement and maintain the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies and systems.
  • Support management in developing H&S procedures, policies, and programs.
  • Monitor and enforce Health & Safety Management System compliance.
  • Identify and address site-specific hazards.
  • Ensure site records are maintained and statutory requirements are met.
  • Conduct site audits and address non-conformances.
  • Contribute to accident and incident investigations.
  • Identify on-site training needs.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Full, clean driver’s license.
  • 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage risk and build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
