Health and Safety Advisor
Role Overview: The successful candidate will support the delivery of projects across the business, focusing on health and safety. Key qualities include a strong commitment to health and safety, compliance, reporting, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and setting out.
- Provide health and safety training (e.g., manual handling, toolbox talks, safety inductions).
- Conduct safety inspections and audits.
- Promote accident prevention and environmental protection.
- Assist in preparing incident reports and provide statistical data to management.
- Implement and maintain the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies and systems.
- Support management in developing H&S procedures, policies, and programs.
- Monitor and enforce Health & Safety Management System compliance.
- Identify and address site-specific hazards.
- Ensure site records are maintained and statutory requirements are met.
- Conduct site audits and address non-conformances.
- Contribute to accident and incident investigations.
- Identify on-site training needs.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Full, clean driver’s license.
- 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety (desirable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage risk and build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
