My client a professional services firm have a requirement for a fully qualified accountant who has a strong revenue and billing background and has at least 6 years managing all aspects of Billing, Revenue, CC and AR within a legal or professional services firm

About Your New Job
- Responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of the credit control and billing processes and teams across the group
- Provide a single point of contact within the Finance team for executive level reviews of our WIP and debt balances
- Lead a global team of credit controllers and billing specialists
- Matrix management of support staff in other reporting lines who perform billing or credit control tasks as part of their wider responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate experience of ownership of billing and collections processes
- Work closely with the wider Finance team to provide clear and consistent financial reporting
- Developing and maintaining KPI reporting to track the efficiency of our working capital management and related processes
- Lead the relationship with our external third party debt collection agency
- Support fee earners on miscellaneous queries relating to WIP and debt balances
- Demonstrate excellent client service culture with Finance, and external parties
- Any other relevant matters as determined by the Finance Director or CFO

What skills you need
- We're looking for a qualified accountant who holds a relevant qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) and at least 5 years' experience within a law firm or professional services setting
- Strong people management skills with at least 3 years' experience of leading and developing billing and credit control teams is essential
- You'll also have demonstrated experience of leading or involvement in billing and credit control improvement projects and confidence to interact at executive level
- You'll also need strong IT skills in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel with an eye for detail and diligence to ensure accuracy of system, process and output.
- Lean Six Sigma or other efficiency qualifications desirable.
- The Industry experience above is a MUST only apply if you are coming from legal or professional services firm
