My client, a leading Online Payment services provider are seeking to hire General Manager to support growth across Ireland. The company supports the needs of both new and established businesses in the ecommerce and online space.
The General Manager will have extensive experience in the transaction processing and online payments industry.
They will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and direction to the Board of Directors of a newly incorporated Irish company.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the delivery and oversight of strategy, financial performance, operations and ventures of the company.
- Executing the company's business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
- Implementing the business plans to maintain a competitive edge, secure new business, delivery of service to customers and improve cost-efficiency.
- Ensuring the development and implementation of operational policies and strategic plans in line with regulatory requirements and within the framework of the strategic directions approved by the Board of Directors.
- Establishing and maintaining a corporate culture and values approved by the Board of Directors and appropriate for a regulated financial service provider.
Requirements for the role
- Preferably 10+ years of experience in the financial services sector.
- Strong background in the payments (acquiring preferable) and FinTech industry.
- Exposure to addressing multi-country operational challenges and leading cross-border initiatives.
- Conversant with regulatory compliance, with regards to payments and FinTech.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs of the business.
- Previous approval in a pre-approval-controlled function role from a national competent authority in the EU is preferred.
