About Your New Employer

A financial planning practice in Cork City is looking for a financial administrator to help in the everyday running of the office as well as support the financial planning process.

About Your New Role

  • Keep detailed records and complete administrative tasks such as paperwork and correspondence.
  • Preparing notes and other requirements for client files.
  • Managing paperwork flow from initial meeting stage through to the implementation stage.
  • Prepare internal reports for the firm on agreed key measurements. 
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial plans and reports.
  • Provide preliminary financial analysis and support in the creation of financial plans and strategies.
  • Manage correspondence, filing systems, and ensure data confidentiality and security.
  • Handle office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Arrange weekly/monthly meetings, prepare presentations, and take minutes at meetings.

What Do You Need

  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator, Office Assistant, or similar role, with exposure to financial planning or paraplanning.
  • Understanding of financial planning principles and paraplanning practices.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and financial analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) and financial planning software.
  • Willing to be part of a team and critically on your own initiative.
  • Strong ability for multi-tasking.
  • Have the ability to manage own workload.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent typing skills.
