My client based in Kilkenny have a requirement for a qualified accountant with a strong accounts prep background and reporting. You will be coming from financial services or a similar Industry

About Your New Job
- Lead the month-end close process to ensure targets are met by the business.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax compliance.
- Reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis and manage cash flow effectively.
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Process payroll for all staff accurately and on time (monthly).
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Irish GAAP within agreed deadlines for review by the CFO.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to senior management, Board of Directors and external stakeholders and regulators.
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required, including system implementations and process improvements.
What skills you need
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Experience in payroll management is essential.
- Experience with IFRS and local GAAP is essential.
- Prior experience working an asset finance environment or similar is an advantage.
