Due to continued expansion, this company is looking to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer for a large project in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

About Your New Job

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering tasks on a designated construction project. These tasks will vary and will be defined in collaboration with the Project Manager throughout the project. Your role will involve coordinating the technical design with the on-site installation, leading to successful commissioning, while ensuring that the company’s vision, mission, and values are upheld.

What Skills & Qualifications You Need

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with both LV and MV systems, particularly in building services and data center environments.
  • 4+ years of project engineering experience with an electrical contractor.
  • Proven track record in delivering small to medium-sized electrical projects (commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centers).
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to inspect electrical systems for compliance with specifications.
  • Experience in developing technical submittals and conducting technical reviews and assessments.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and procedures, with an understanding of team dynamics.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.
  • Effective leadership and influence over others.
  • Innovates and drives electrical/technical activities, addressing challenges.
  • Skilled in project planning and management.
  • Analytical problem-solving and decisive action-taking.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on EHS and Quality Management Systems.
  • Mentors and coaches junior engineers and graduates.
