AWS Cloud & Data Architect – Daily Rate Contract with Leading Consultancy
A fantastic opportunity to join a leading consultancy working on a greenfield AWS data platform build for a specialist insurance client based in Dublin City Centre. This is a senior-level role, focused on shaping and governing the architecture of a cloud-native, enterprise-scale data platform.
This role requires 3 days per week onsite in Dublin.
6-month contract (strong chance of extension) – €650-700 per day – Must be based in Ireland
About Your New Job
Take the lead on end-to-end cloud and data architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and governance across the platform
Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS services like Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, S3, Athena, and Lambda
Define and enforce security, compliance, and data governance standards
Work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to build blueprints for ingestion, processing, and analytics
Align cloud strategy with business objectives and the wider data product roadmap
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity models
Drive cloud cost optimisation across the environment
What Skills You Need
Proven experience in cloud and data architecture, ideally in a consulting or enterprise environment
Deep knowledge of AWS – particularly services like Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3, Lake Formation, and serverless functions
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in the cloud
Hands-on experience designing scalable, secure platforms for data ingestion, storage, and analytics
Experience aligning architecture with business goals and product roadmaps
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
