About Your New Role
As a Building Services Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of building services systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. You will collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering professionals to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate building services into overall project designs.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions.
What Skills You Need
- Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building services design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
