About Your New Job

  • Automation Projects: As part of the Automation project team, you will build turnkey automated cells and provide PLC support to maintain production.
  • Problem Solving: Support an MDI culture and A3 problem solving to achieve Automated Cell Takt time, ensuring compliance with SOPs and technical documentation.
  • System Support: Engage in EH&S Risk Assessments, PFMEA, and support systems for site backups, disaster recovery, cyber security, and data integrity.
  • Equipment Installation: Install and place new or upgraded equipment into operations, developing solutions for automation problems.
  • Documentation: Generate and execute documents such as User Requirements Specifications, Design Specifications, FAT, SAT, and Operating Manuals.
  • Change Implementation: Execute strategic changes with a can-do attitude, lean mindset, and a focus on eliminating waste.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Clearly communicate project expectations, demonstrate conflict resolution skills, and build relationships with internal and external partners.

What Skills You Need

  • Educational Background: Degree in Controls, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
  • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in an automated environment with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, including safety PLC versions, TIA portal software, and RS Logix or Studio 5000.
  • Robotics: Experience with FANUC and ABB robot integration.
  • Communication Networks: Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet, and ASi communication networks.
  • Control Systems Design: Experience in designing control systems, including safety-related systems, with full documentation. Eplan skills are desired.
  • Standards and Regulations: Familiarity with EN standards and regulations.
  • Business Skills: Ability to develop business cases and sell them to stakeholders.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
