Mike McDonagh

I am Mike McDonagh, Chief Operating Officer of Sigmar Recruitment. Originally from the UK, I have been based in Ireland for almost 15 years and joined Sigmar in 2020. Prior to this, I was the Managing Director of Hays Ireland and have experience leading large teams of specialist recruiters across a range of specialisms, including Accountancy, Construction, IT, Life Science, Office Administration, Banking and Financial Services, Multilingual, and Executive.

I have been a regular commentator on the jobs market in national media, having appeared on national radio and in the press on numerous occasions. I currently serve on the board of Boardmatch Ireland, the national charity specialising in not-for-profit board recruitment. I am a passionate advocate of more diversity in the workplace and have undertaken a number of charity challenges to raise over €100k in funds for various charities over the last eight years.
