Ian Mulligan

I am an experienced recruitment consultant coming with over three years of experience. I first joined Sigmar at the beginning of 2022 as part of the Managed Services team, where I supported a major outsourced project with a global market leader. After major success on this project, for both myself and Sigmar, I decided to take a year out to travel Australia in 2023. While In Australia I continued my recruitment journey moving into a full 360 recruitment consultant role where I supported the placement of roles across the Insurance industry In Melbourne, Victoria. Working within this sector gave me great exposure to various roles from Claims, Underwriting, Broking, and some more senior level roles. Given the Insurance market in Victoria I built out a successful desk concentrating on Claims and Underwriting roles with both direct Insurers and agencies. I saw such success in this space, that other newer consultants were hired on to the team to continue to support its growth. Having previously worked in the insurance industry myself, I am also an Accredited Product Advisor within Insurance, having gained my qualification through the National College of Ireland, which vastly helped my understanding and knowledge of this market and its candidates.

I also have experience recruiting candidates across the Construction sector and Production & Warehousing sector In Dublin and the midlands. Prior to my time in recruitment, I worked in Insurance for over five years starting out as an Insurance agent and progressing to an Insurance team leader supporting a team of 14 agents, which allowed me to grow my people management, coordination, and communication skills. My early career was spent in sales and customer service in the retail industry, allowing me to really hone my customer centric approach.

In early 2024 I returned to not just Ireland, but also to Sigmar and joined their Office Support team in Dublin where I now recruit for Temporary, Permanent and Contract positions across Dublin and the midlands. On this team, I am the designated Midlands Office Recruitment Specialist, focusing not only on Dublin based roles, but also on finding and placing top talent and supporting clients across Meath, Westmeath, Offaly, Longford, Laois and Kildare, recruiting for roles including Administration staff (at all levels of experience), Operations, Reception and Front of House, Facilities Coordinators, Project Managers, Coordinators, Office Managers and Personal / Executive Assistants”
