About your new employer: A leading global medical technology company. It specializes in designing, manufacturing, and marketing a wide range of medical devices and equipment for various medical specialties, including orthopedics, medical and surgical, neurotechnology, and spine, among others.
About your new job as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer: The Senior Engineer will offer advanced technical and engineering assistance to a project or function. This engineer possesses the necessary engineering skills and systems training to provide support for a manufacturing area or project.
Your duties will include:
- Utilization of a prioritized approach in Value-Cantered Engineering to attain key objectives in quality, service, and cost.
- Collaborating with Engineering leaders to achieve business goals.
- Assisting in fostering a world-class manufacturing team adept at process enhancement and problem-solving utilizing Six Sigma methodologies.
- Offering technical leadership for all product and process concerns.
- Monitoring line performance and implementing structured event plans to address systemic issues leading to sub-optimal performance.
- Developing and implementing relevant documentation, SOPs, and process work instructions compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Leading technical enhancements within the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).
- Transferring and implementing processes from development or other manufacturing facilities.
- Providing technical guidance for Process/Maintenance Technicians and other team members.
- Offering engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring compliance with the New Product Development Process.
- Conducting process validation including VP, IQ, OQ, PQ, and related documentation.
- Performing Gauge R&R studies for products and new processes.
- Conducting structured problem-solving activities.
What skill/experience you need
- A Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background is necessary.
- Demonstrated Project Management expertise evidenced by successful delivery of vital business projects.
- Possesses 2-4 years of experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Exhibits effective communication and influencing abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of providing technical leadership, influencing, and guidance to Engineers, Co-op Students, Technicians, and operators as needed.
